‎30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 18

I am thankful that I am organized!
This is only a few of the gifts.
I am done with Christmas Shopping, Sorting and Wrapping because I have been planning and shopping since July.
Oh, and I used only CASH, so no debt to linger into the new year either! Go me!!!
Until Next Time,
SCRAP ON!

Simple Woman's Day Book - Week 10

Monday March 5, 2012

Outside My Window....it is sunny but breezy.
I am thinking...I need to get to work on my Power Layout for Skyline.
I am thankful...for hot water, fresh coffee and clean clothes.
In the kitchen...I have a sink full of dishes from dinner last night because the dishwasher was full and washing when I went to bed last night.
I am wearing...jeans and my Canadian shirt that Marta bought me.
I am creating...my power layout...STILL.....
I am going...to Joann's this morning to get the cord I need to finish up a washer necklace for my secret sister at Skyline.  Then I plan to hit Office Depot because I need ink for my printer.
I am wondering...how Nathan's testing is going for the gifted program.  Last week, I was given a permission slip for him to be tested.  So, I hope he works really hard and does well.
I am reading...all the magazines that are on my bedside table right now.  I have about 15 scrapbooking magazines that I need to look through and a few of the All You magazines with pages dog-eared.
I am hoping...My Skyline Retreat goes well next week.
I am looking forward to...Thursday night when I get together with Jess, Beth and Dawn to scrapbook at Jessica's place.
I am learning...politics sucks...
Around the house...a balloon stuck to the ceiling, dogs underfoot while I type, Sophie in her bed for a nap (which she isn't taking) and the washing machine humming along.
I am pondering...how to go about getting 40 *gifts* done by the end of the weekend.
A favourite quote for today....
"it is better to be content with what little you have. Otherwise, you will always be struggling for more, and that is like chasing the wind."
Ecclesiastes 4:6 NCV

One of my favourite things...my husband....
A peek into my day....

I have WONDERFUL friends....

I have been having a hard time lately and this was in my email today. A very good friend sent a reminder, specifically for me, that I DO matter.
Thank you, dear friend.  Thank you!

Wordless Wednesday...well, not really wordless this time! ;)

Thank you Jessica!  Sophie loves her new "beet" (blanket).
We are very blessed to have you in our lives, Jess.
I thank God every day for our "chance" meeting in Perry, GA at that crop.

"Scrap Loft" Reorganization....

My good friend Beth gifted me a bunch of JetMax cubes for my scrap loft. I spent all day Monday getting everything organized and put the way I wanted it.  I hope it will be functional and I will be able to work in this space. Here is what I came up with for my Scrap Loft:

I think it looks so good and I am really hoping that I can work in this space without having to move everything again.  Thanks to Beth for the awesome cubes! Now, to just find the time and also my "mojo" so I can get creating!

Floored.....then Humbled....

I belong to a Scrapbooking Forum online called ScrapShare. I have been a member since 2-12-2007 and have had the pleasure of meeting some fabulously-talented women on this particular message board. I have been planning retreats since last year on ScrapShare as well and have fun doing it too! Now, in the past, I have read about some serious generosity from the members of SS and have always thought "What a great thing to do for someone, the recipient is very lucky to have an angel like that!" Well, this time around, the recipient is ME!
This week, I was sent a Private Message on ScrapShare telling me that my Retreat Fee was paid for me to attend "Texas Spring Thing" if I could swing the airfare. I was floored....shocked! I also feel very humbled that someone would do that for me!
Now, my ANGEL has asked to remain anonymous, so I am just saying here on my blog....THANK YOU ANGEL!!!!
I have already told my Angel that I will Pay It Forward when I am able to, but whoa! What a generous gift to be given! It amazes me....humbles me....makes me believe in the generosity of people now, more than ever!
WOW!
