Sketchapalooza 7 Layouts...

On June 4th, Sketchapalooza 7 began.  Now that the first week is coming to a close, I can show you a couple of the layouts that I did as a Design Team Member.  Now, my layouts are nothing compared to some of the ones that are being posted over there (but, alas, I am my own worst critic).
Have a look:
Sketch #1

Sketch #2

 Sketch #4

The first week is almost up, but there is still room in the classroom.  If you are a DIGI chick, there are PSE and SBC+ templates for each of the sketches too!  Come one! Come all!!!
I would LOVE to see you there!
Until Next Time,
SCRAP ON!

Summer TO DO Lists......

I am a list-maker.  I like to have a list to work from when I have a lot of tasks that need to be taken care of.  Today was one of those days.....TONS to do!
I started my day by sleeping in...which is NEVER good.  I always end up with a mondo headache and then I feel terrible the rest of the day. Now, the reason for sleeping in: RAIN.  (Dreary day, rainy weather and "The Peanut" sleeps really well. Nathan gets up and is pretty independent, so he always lets me sleep.)
Well, today was no different, except I tried to preempt the headache by taking a Step class at the gym.  You know what????  IT WORKED!
By the end of the class, the headache was non-existent! GO ME!
The downfall is: I think I hurt my left foot today in class because I wore older running shoes.  So, they went into the garbage as soon as I got home today.  I am going to have to invest in a new pair of cross trainers or aerobic shoes (studio shoes).  My foot still hurts but I am hoping that it feels better in the morning.
Anyway, I made it home after that awesome class
and started on the list:
Shower
Make Lunch
Clean the Kitchen Counters
Unload the Dishwasher
Wash Whites
Wash Darks (4 loads)
Wash Towels (3 loads)
Wash Bedding (2 loads)
I finished everything with the exception of the bedding, but will work on that first thing in the morning.  Nathan has been a great help and was able to unload the dishwasher for me while I was making lunch.  Gosh, I love that he is getting to be really independent...it means I am doing my job as mama!
***************Sketchapalooza 7 started yesterday at Feeling Scrappy and I am loving the layouts that people are pumping out from the sketch that Jayne posted yesterday!  We have some awesome scrappers taking this class!  Can't wait to see what people are going to do with the sketch tomorrow.
************
Keep an eye out in the next couple of days, I have a Project Life Update coming.

Alright, this gal is going to turn into a pumpkin if she doesn't get to bed.
Until Next Time,

1 Week Away!

There is one week left to sign up for Sketchapalooza 7 over at Feeling Scrappy.
I am completely excited!!!
I love using sketches to get my layouts done and I have to admit that it takes the guesswork out of deciding where to put photos and stuff like that.
You may think that it is summer and I won't get a lot done, well, that is okay too.  You will get a document at the end of the class with all the sketches from Sketchapalooza 7 as a handout.  You can take it with you to the crops or retreats that you plan to attend in the last half of 2012.  Easy peasy!
I will be in Canada for the third week of the class and will be checking in from there.  So, for me that week, the digital templates will be perfect to use during that week.  That way I won't be lugging all my scrappy stuff up to Canada!
The class is only $25 and you get 5 sketches a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
If you are a DIGI scrapper, there will be PSE templates and .PAGE file templates for Creative Memories Storybook software!
As I said earlier, you will also get a handout at the end of the class that will give you all the sketches from the class.
How awesome is that?!?!?!?!
I am going to attach a few more layouts from previous Sketchapalooza classes, so that you can get the idea of what kinds of sketches Jayne and the rest of the design team come up with!!!

Come JOIN ME for this Sketchapalooza 7 class!
You will have a blast creating AND you will also meet some new friends too!
If you plan to take the class, leave me a comment so that I can look for you when the classroom opens later this week!
I will keep an eye open for ya!
Until Next Time,
SCRAP ON!

P.S. a little spoiler......I created one of the sketches in the class.  ;)

Project Life Update....

I decided to update the Project Life album before I started with the layouts I wanted to create for the Feeling Scrappy Sketchapalooza 7 class.  I am really happy with the way this album is turning out.  The best thing is that on the days that I don't get a good picture or forget to take one at all, I can put in a few pictures for a particular day and tell the story a little better.  An example would be the re-vamp of my Scrap Loft.  I want to be able to tell that story and show off my space.  I did take pictures for that week but some didn't turn out the way I would have liked and some were blurry. So, instead I put in the pictures from when I was moving around my scrap area and organizing.
I am one of those nerds that likes to organize things and I get a rush when it is all done and looks awesome!  I am all smiles, baby!
So, here are the pages that I have completed since my last update - April 23 2012 until May 15 2012:
I blurred out the pictures because they are for the upcoming Sketchapalooza 7 class in June.

I am not sure how you work from your Core Kit, but I decided to take the journaling cards out of their storage boxes and just have them ready to go in the large box.  It works best for me when I am working.  Here is how I have my cards laid out.  Also, I bought an extra set of 3x4 Grid Journaling Cards.  They are in here as well.
According to Becky Higgins, the core kits are now going to be made in the USA.  Very cool!  Now, the other thing, that I am not too happy about, is they will not have stickers in the core kits.  I use my ARROW stickers so much and I am bummed about the fact that they won't be in the Core Kit anymore.  But, I am looking for other options for arrows to use in the album.  I think they are looking for other options, but they will be bought as a separate item. I am not sure I will like that because it will cost more to get the entire kit.  If this is going to be a yearly thing, I have to make sure that it will fit in the budget.  Last year, the Project Life Kits were all one big package with one price.  This year, everything is separate:  Core Kit, Cardstock, Page Protectors, 3x4 Grid Journaling Cards, Memorabilia Envelopes and Dividers are all a separate item to be purchased.  Will be hard to justify in the budget.  We'll see though because once Ben sees the project put together and done, he will more than likely be cool with it.  I could always ask my inlaws and parents for the individual pieces for birthdays and Christmas!  ;)
Anyway, that is my Project Life update for this week.  Once again I am CAUGHT UP!  How weird does that ever feel to say that!!!  Something I thought I would NEVER hear myself say in a million years!
I hope you enjoy these updates because I really enjoy sharing them with you!
Until Next Time,
SCRAP ON!

Are ya FEELING SCRAPPY???

I sure am!

Jayne, the owner of Feeling Scrappy, has decided to bring back the Sketchapalooza classes and I posted about them earlier.  I am completely psyched about it and in my first post about the classes, I forgot to mention that I am on her Design Team for the Sketch class starting June 4th!  I am!  I promise!
I even created a sketch for the class!  Jayne encouraged me to look through my old pages that I hadn't used sketches for and to take a favourite and draw it out!  So, I did!  She liked it!  She liked it!  I am going to try my hand at a couple more too, I think.
Anyway, I am pretty excited about the class.  Afterall, Jayne took a sabbatical from the classes for a little while and took care of family and it is so good to see her back out here doing her thing!  Way to go Jayne!!!
So, are you going to join me and take the class or what?!?!  You know you will love it!  I may have to do a little *Challenge* during the class for a special little package from me!  I think I will do that!!!
Just go to her blog - I linked it on the sidebar of this blog and buy the class!  You won't regret it!
Here are a couple of my layouts from previous classes.  They really are for everyone and some of my very best layouts came from taking these classes!

Seriously, you really should think about it!  I will be there cheering you all on and encouraging you!  See you in Class!
Until Next Time,

SCRAP ON!

Sketchapalooza 4 - Sketch1

I just put the finishing touches on this Sketch for the class. Hope you like it. I used a bunch of scraps and cardstock that was in my "small scraps" binder. It is GREAT for the Use Your Stash Challenge that I am doing! Not sure where the pieces came from, but they fit perfectly for this layout!
Here is the journalling I did on this particular page. Sweet. sweet story! This layout is going in my Book of ME album or the All About Us album. (per Stacy Julian's Library of Memories). Don't forget to check out Lita's Blog today to see the newest sketch and my attempt at it! It is FAB!!!

Photo Order...

I placed an order at Snapfish to have my photos here in time for the Sketchapalooza 4 class at Feeling Scrappy LAST WEEK....They were mailed on Friday and should be here by now.

Are they here yet?

NOPE! Can you tell how frustrated I am? I am super-dee-dooper frustrated! The last set of photos I ordered were uploaded to CVS and I could drive around the corner to pick them up. Except when I got them, they were not the right size or they had people's heads cut off! So, I figured with my free prints (120 of them) and the other 50 I needed to order, I could just get all of them at once and start to work on them.

Well, they STILL are not here! I will be stalking the mailman today in the hopes that he has them in his truck! Cross your fingers for me!
