Can You Believe He's 7????

Nathan is 7 years old today!  Can you believe it? I can't believe it and I am the one that was cut open!  Ha!  Anyway, he weighs 60 pounds and is already up to my chin!  He will be passing me very soon in height!  
We took Nathan to the see the Atlanta Braves on Friday night and he loved it.  In fact, I loved it!  I thought I would be bored to tears, but between the music, the fireworks, watching the game and everything else that goes with it, I had a blast!  Sophie even liked the fireworks!  We may have to do another Braves game next season!
As for Nathan, he is really into Lego.  Lego Ninjago and Lego Harry Potter were his gifts this year, as well as a knock-knock joke book.  He also wanted the Lego Heroica game and that was very difficult to find, but we found it!
Some of the things I love about Nathan are:
- he is always happy and has a smile on his face
- he has limitless energy that I wish I could bottle and use for myself
- he loves to snuggle
- he is sensitive of others feelings
- he is so smart
Happy 7th Birthday Nathan!  I say this all the time and I am sure that someday he will be sick of hearing it: "you will always be my baby boy".....

Day 27....My Boy.....

I took this pic a couple of minutes ago.....we had a GREAT night tonight. Nathan didn't have a great day at school today, he talks too much apparently (kinda like his mama *wink wink*). But when Nathan got home, he did his homework and then we turned on the tunes. We "watch" the music choice channels on tv and flip between all the channels to get upbeat tunes to wear off some energy. As I made quesadillas and fajitas for dinner, Nathan and I were dancing all over the kitchen and livingroom. Sophie tries to dance, but bounces. It is too cute. Nathan has his own version of the "running man" that makes me giggle every time he does it! We danced until dinner was finished cooking and kept the music on through dinner. He has ALWAYS been a happy-go-lucky kid and I am so proud of him. He is very much my "mini-me"......dimples and all.....

Day 25 of 365

Today we had Jess and her son S over for coffee.....it was great to have her and S over to hang out. I didn't take any photos while they were here. Insert frowny face here......

Instead I took a pic of my Lady puppy....she is our shelter puppy. She was brought into the shelter that I was volunteering at and was so little. I fell in love with her immediately. I waited the 2 weeks and then brought her home. She is a good girl to have around and she is quite the "attention hoe" but oh-so-loveable.

Isn't she pretty?!?!? Wherever I am, she is. If I am cropping in the scrap-loft, she is right there under my feet. She sleeps at the foot of my bed at night and is always waiting at the door when I get home from anywhere. She and Molson get along really well too. Here is a pic of Molson I took tonight too....Both of these puppies are loveable and love our attention! Such loved puppies by all of our family.

Christy's Surprise Birthday!!!

Have I ever mentioned that I love my friends.....probably. Well, when I realized that a good friend's birthday was coming up fast, I had to act fast! So.....

I emailed Craig, Christy's hubby, to see if he had plans for her birthday.....he only planned dinner, so I asked if he would mind if some "Scrappy Friends" came over for the day. He said "SURE!" So, I contacted a few of the SS gals and we made plans. I brought food and a homemade gift, so did Marta (along with one of her favourite wines) and the other gals brought her wine, balloons and little gifts. What a blast!

The fun part was that Christy was completely in the dark about it, texted me and asked if I would like to go thrift store shopping for a couple of hours on her birthday. I said "Yes!" Marta came along and I "faked" feeling sick at the Goodwill to get her home where CJ and Cathryn were waiting there to surprise her! Boy, was she surprised!!! HEE HEE HEE! I love surprising people, but I HATE being surprised myself! Isn't that weird?!?!

Ah, SUCCESS!!!! I love my friends and really enjoy showing them that they are loved! It was a great time and we even got to scrapbook a bit too! Fun, Fun, Fun!

The cool thing about this? I have a picture for 365 for today too!!!

"Snowpocalypse" Continues.....Day 5!!!

Nathan has been home for 5 days. To be perfectly honest, the roads have not been THAT bad and he could have been at school the last 2 days. But, we have been enjoying our time at home. Tonight, we were bathing Sophie and decided to kill two birds with one stone and get Nathan bathed too. So, here is a pic from their bath together. Nathan was making Sophie laugh by splashing himself with water and getting her a little wet too. It was too cute and I finally was able to snap a pic with my iPhone (which has become really handy dandy to have around).

365: Handsome Man O' Mine....

Even if he IS gaming, he always has that handsome smile for me. I love this man! He is a fantastic father and an even better husband. The things I love about this man are endless and I can't picture my life without him. Ben has this steady, confident calmness about him and I love that. He is also the exact opposite of me and balances me out.
He is amazing....simply amazing.

I love you so much Ben...Always and Forever.
