Re-Entry's A B!tch!

Yep!
I'm a slacker when it comes to BLOGGING in 2013!

Not only have I been busy with Origami Owl, but I have also been really busy with OTHER stuff!
I planned another Skyline Retreat for March 2013.
Probably my WORST weekend - ever - happened that weekend while I was up at Camp Skyline in Mentone, Alabama.

Now, prior to Skyline, my friend Marcy came to visit and hang with me and that was a BLAST!!!  She is awesome!  I always enjoy spending time with Marcy!  On Wednesday, we drove up to Marta's for our regular overnight, which was also pretty fantastic.  I always sleep so well at Marta's house.  I am not quite sure why.

Now, we get to the B.A.D. part......
I need to explain why the weekend was the WORST.WEEKEND.EVER!
Now, planning this retreat is hard enough because there were 38 women all wanting different things.
Who can please 38 women?  Surely, NOT ME! But, I try my best and they appreciate it (for the most part).  So, when you add a night of no sleep to the mix (yep - Thursday night, I was awake all night with my good friend, Sharon and some serious tummy issues - on my part) and then add in a LONG Friday with still no sleep.  We got the group shot though.....
When I finally get back to the cabin to take a much-needed nap before dinner, a phone call from the Hubby in GA. I called back and Nathan answered the phone "Hi Mum!  Sophie's puking all over your room!  It's really gross!"  (Gotta love an 8 year old who tells you everything.)
I finally get to talk to Ben and he called to see where I keep the carpet shampoo.
Now, hubby isn't the one that deals with the kids being sick (for the most part) and calling doctors and such.  That is a Mummy duty.
Well, I start to worry and freak out a bit because all I can think of is Sophie puking all over the house.  I mean ALL.OVER.THE.HOUSE.
My panic kicked in and "Mama Bear" bear came out!!!
I went into "over-drive" and started to blurt out every little piece of advice for Ben and he took it and said that he would figure it out.  I will tell you right now, I was really worried about what the house would look like when I got home and who else would be sick by the time I got home!
I had called the doctor to see about getting some anti-nausea meds for her and he called them in.  Friends, who I thought would help, didn't come through for me and one stay-at-home-dad, that I know in our neighbourhood, came through for me and went to Publix to get the meds for Ben.
I was then escorted to bed by Marta (who was afraid that I would take my car keys and drive after being awake for more than 40 hours at that point).
I truly think she saved my life that night and all I did was yell at her to "give me my F'n car keys!"  (Sorry for yelling at you Marta!  LOVE YOU!)
You see, when "mama bear" comes out, you aren't rational, you can't think clearly, you lose your temper and say things you don't necessarily mean in anger and you just want to be there for your kidlet.  Well, I was embarrassed too.  Being escorted to my bed like a child?  What the hell!  I am a grown woman!
ANYWAY........
To make a long story short, Daddy came through for Sophie and my respect and love for this man has grown.  On top of that, my friend Marta, rose to the occasion, stared "Mama Bear" in the face and didn't care that I was yelling at her. She knew I would be okay in the morning after a good night's sleep.
I have a good friend who loves me!
Ben is a great father to my children!
I am blessed

So, it was the weekend from HELL!!!
I got through it.
Sophie made it through her first time throwing up.
Marta is still "my person" and I love her.
My respect and love for Ben has grown exponentially after dealing with this.
Nathan stayed healthy.
Ben stayed healthy.
I did come home completely exhausted,
but that is the case whenever I come home from a retreat.

Isn't it funny how, after all of that, I can see the blessings?
Amazing.

Scrapbookers, while on retreats and afterwards, joke and say that "Re-entry's A Bitch".
Only this time, it definitely was!!!

Until Next time,
SCRAP ON!

Blessed....

I really didn't know how blessed I was until I went in for my surgery.
I didn't realize that even though we moved away from Warner Robins, that our friends would still want to be around us, worried about us and would even want to come visit me in the hospital.
I figured that we moved and that it really wouldn't bother any of our friends because we rarely got together and life was so busy for all of us.  You know how it is, life gets busy and the first thing to fall by the wayside are friendships.  You text or email or see each other on Facebook and that has to be the extent of it because "life got in the way".  Well, I was wrong to think that and I am kind of embarrassed that I thought that in the first place!
We lived in Warner Robins for 8 years!  Of course we had friends there, I guess I just didn't realize that we had an impact on people there.
Aren't I dumb for thinking that?  I think I am!
Anyway, while I was in the hospital, 4 lovely ladies came to visit me.
I was expecting Sharon, because she is  "MAMA BEAR" and is very protective around me and my family. She worries about me like I am part of her family.  I love that!
I really wasn't expecting any other visitors.
I was blessed with visits from Laura Anne, Brandon and Ashley.  Laura Anne came by on Monday night and brought me a frosty. It was so great to catch up with her and talk about our kids and hubbies.  The frosty she brought me was yummy!
The next morning, Ashley brought her 5 month old, Archer, to visit me and Brandon showed up with her little man, Micah, a little later.  We had a nice visit and talked about kids, what's been going on since we left and Harvest Church.  Oh, how I miss Harvest and the small group we used to participate in with them.
I was very humbled that they wanted to come by and check on me.
It made me feel loved.  I realized that I missed them and their friendship.  I also realized that maybe once in a while, a trip down for a visit is in order!
Until Next Time,

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 21

Today I am thankful for a very good friend of mine, Carol.
It is her birthday today and I called to sing her Happy Birthday.  Sure, it was off-key, but I still think it will put a smile on her face (and probably make her ears bleed too)!
She is a super-talented photographer, faith-filled, intelligent, funny, witty, a fabulous teacher and wonderful friend.  I am very blessed to have her in my life. The pic above is Carol at the Fall 2012 Skyline retreat and the one below is Carol with Allison at the same retreat.
We met back in 2008, when she came with friends to the Fall Skyline Retreat.  Little did I know, she would play a huge part of my life and become one of "my peeps".
She is one of those people that will call me "Just to say hi" or send me a text that says "Thinking of you". It means a lot to have a friend like that.  It puts a smile on my face when I see a text or a message come through from Carol.
Another great thing about her is that she will tell you the truth when you ask her for an opinion.  A faithful friend who cares about your well-being - that's Carol.  Everyone should have a friend like her.  I am sure that I have probably embarrassed her by posting this, but I AM, indeed, very thankful for her and she needs to know (like she doesn't already, but whatever).
God has blessed me by bringing her into my life and I will cherish our friendship forever.  Love ya, girlie!
Until Next Time,

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 15

I am thankful for giggling and goofing off with my girlfriends.
That is all.

It is simple.
It is true.
It is something women need: girlfriends to lean on and giggle with!  :)

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 8

Today, I am thankful for the handful of gals that I consider to be my closest and dearest here in the States.
They know who they are!
They have been here for me when I needed them,
prayed for me when I needed it,
encouraged me,
hugged my kidlets or me when needed and have just been phenomenal.
I know that if I needed any one of them,
they would be there in a heartbeat!
So thanks gals! I love y'all!!!

Until Next Time,

QOTD - October 24, 2012

Joy is not in THINGS;
It is in US.
~Richard Wagner~
What an eye-opener for me today.
Joy is a hard thing to have when things don't go as planned.
When you get the curve ball thrown your way.
But I will be thankful and joyful despite any situation.
I am a HALF-FULL kind of person and always try to look for the positive.
When I do lean toward the negative, which happens from time to time,
I have friends who will listen to me complain,
then tell me to suck it up and deal with it.

Do you have friends who will "call you out" on your "crap"?
Have you been blessed with a HALF-FULL attitude instead of a half-empty attitude?
Maybe a scrapbook layout is in order for this kind of topic???
Hmmmm, I will have to definitely think on that one!
Until Next Time,
SCRAP ON!

Sweet Scrappiness!!

This is the Dining Hall at Skyline with all of our stuff set up.
There are a few of us who wake up REALLY early and get our coffee.
It looks like an episode of Hoarders, but I promise you, good things are happening with this "Scrap Crap" (as my hubby calls it).....
Our SNACK table is filled this year with all kinds of things we really shouldn't be eating.  But, we all bring an item to contribute to the snack table and "graze" all day long.
This is my table and where I am sitting this weekend.  The plan is to crank out as many layouts as possible and get in some much-needed "girlie" time.
I hope to come out of this retreat rejuvinated and relaxed.
Maybe even get my page count up to 300 while I am here.  I am at 266 for the year so far.  So, maybe I can hit 300!
As far as I am concerned, My kids are safe and sound at home with my in-laws and husband and I am away with My Skyline Sisters and that is ALL that matters!!!

Until Next Time,
SCRAP ON!

BLESSINGS - Gratitude Entry...

Tonight is a fun night for me - GIRL'S NIGHT OUT!  I get to go to Jessica's house to hang with my good friends, eat fondue, scrapbook and enjoy some great conversations.  4 of my favourite things to do!
Sophie is in bed right now, Nathan is reading in his room and I am putting together a bunch of stuff to work on tonight.  I have so many albums that I am working on right now.  I have Sophie's album - for her first year that I have to finish.  I have her second year album to start!  Yeesh!  I am also trying to get all my Skyline pictures scrapbooked so that I can take them up to Skyline this fall for our 10th Retreat!  Woot! Woot!
I am also working on Nathan's school album, the Places We Go album and the Things We Do album.  Add to it, the Book of Me that I told myself that I would finish one day.  Too many projects and so little time to work on them!  But, as I work on all these different albums, I get to re-live the memories and remember what the kids were like in each of the photos and I will also get to show off the pics as I crop them down and get them on the pages.  I really need this tonight!
**********
Now, onto another topic near and dear to my heart....FRIENDS!!!  A couple of days ago, I posted to twitter: "Friends help make life bearable for the SAHM".....
I completely and utterly agree with this because I would be a mess if I didn't have my friends.  If I didn't have friends to call when I was having a rough day or to hang out with on a regular basis, I wouldn't make it through the summer months with both kidlets at home, I wouldn't make it PERIOD!  I appreciate my friends and I *think* my friends appreciate me.  I am an extrovert.  I like to be around people.  I like to exchange stories and laugh and cry with people.  I have never met a stranger.  No matter where I am, I can meet a new acquaintance or strike up a conversation.  That is just me.

So, in case I don't say it often enough, THANK YOU FRIENDS!!!  I love y'all!!!
**********
So, tonight, think of me as I take my 12 of 12 photos with my 5 good friends here in McDonough, eat a bunch of food that I don't normally get to eat, chat it up and scrapbook the night away!

Until Next Time,
SCRAP ON!

Happy Birthday Molson!

10 years ago today, my Molson puppy was born!
We didn't move to Georgia until September,
but as soon as I saw him and saw when he was born,
I had to have him!
 Happy 10th Birthday Molson!
Isn't he a cute puppy dog???
*************************************
Onto other news.....
Happy Independence Day to all my American friends out there!
The 4th of July was spent with our friends David and Laura and their two boys, Andrew and Ethan.  It was a swim at their neighbourhood pool and hanging out at their new home. A great way to spend an afternoon/evening!  We drove home just in time to catch the fireworks at Nash Farm.  We sat in the driveway and watched the fireworks.  I tried to get a few shots with my camera and they were terrible!!!  So, no photos to show of the fireworks.  We had a great day and we have good friends to thank for it!!!

I am now off to bed and plan to hopefully sleep in tomorrow!!!
Until Next Time,

Project Life 2012 - Getting Started!!!!

So, in January, I started to take a photo a day to do this 365+1 album.  Taking a photo a day is sometimes hard to do especially when you forget your camera!
A couple of days, I used some backup photos that I had, but for the most part, I took a photo a day and will continue for the duration of 2012.  The Becky Higgins Project Life kits were all backordered and I had to wait until February to place my order on Amazon.
When they finally became available again, in February, I ordered the Project Life Cobalt Core Kit, The Big Variety Pack #2 of page protectors and the Cobalt Cardstock package.  It all arrived and I posted this pic to twitter:
Then, life and the retreat planning for Skyline got in the way of me actually getting started.  Life happens, eh?
UNTIL.....last weekend at the ScrapShare North Alabama Retreat. Here's how it all went down:

  1. Before I left for the retreat, I spent a day going through my photos from January 1, 2012 until April 8, 2012.
  2. I copied the photos I wanted to use into a separate folder labelled 365+1.
  3. I renamed the photos with the date they were specifically taken on or the date I wanted them for: 1-1-12, 1-2-12, 1-3-12, etc.
  4. Then I took the pictures to CVS and printed them on matte paper.

Now, I "cheated" on a couple of days...but it wasn't too bad.  I think I only missed 3 days from January 1st to April 8th!  Not bad if I do say so myself!  An example of "cheating" is:  January 3rd is my Mum's birthday, so I used a picture of her and I on her wedding day back in November 2011.  Since she is up in Canada and I am here, I couldn't get a picture of her on the 3rd. I used a picture of Sophie in her jammies for one of our "Jammie Days" that we have from time to time.  The photo itself was taken a couple of days before the actual jammie day.  So, it was close in time.
So, fast forward to the retreat:

  1. I spent the first part of the retreat putting the photos in order and figuring out which of the page protectors I needed for each week.  I realized that I take a LOT of photos vertically. Yikes!  I may have to order more of the vertical page protectors or maybe a couple packages.
  2. Cut all my Cobalt Cardstock (which was 12x12) to 4x6 sizes.
  3. Cropped down the photos I had to fit horizontally (if they were vertical) and adhere them to the cardstock.
  4. Started slipping all the photos into the page protectors.
  5. Last but not least, JOURNAL.  (more about journaling in a separate post).

And so it begins....my journey with Project Life.  I will be posting some more things about Project Life in the coming days, weeks and months. (Note: To look at all my Project Life Posts at once, you will just need to click at the bottom of this post "Project Life" and/or Project 365 and it will bring up all the posts I have written about this topic.)
If you are interested in more info about Project Life, go check out Becky Higgins' Website.  She has a bar across the top of her site that allows you to see all her products, her blog, among other things. Great stuff over there, I promise!
For those of you wondering how the retreat went?  It was RELAXING and FUN!!! Here we are "Charlie's Scrappers"....Jessica, Marta and I hamming it up at the retreat.

Until next time,

SCRAP ON!

SSNA Retreat 2012

This past weekend, I spent the weekend at the Red Rooster Retreat with some ladies from ScrapShare.  Check out my pics:
 My retreat partner, Jessica

Jessica, Marta and I pretending to be "Scrapping ANGELS"  ha!
 Me and Jess
 Me, Christy and Marta
 Jessica, Me, Christy and Marta
Jessica, Pam, Christy and Marta.

It was a great weekend and I got completely caught up to April 8 2011 in my Project Life Album.  More posts to come about that.  I also completed 15 traditional pages for my other albums using sketches from CTMH Idea Books.  I am pretty psyched!

When it was time to plan for this retreat, I did a power layout of current printed photos that were sitting in my power sort boxes.  Then I took all of the photos I have taken since January 1st 2012 and copied them into a 366 folder to be renamed and printed.  I then started renaming the files to 1-1-12, 1-2-12, and so on.  When I printed them at CVS, they were printed with that name on the back and it was SO easy to put together.  What I didn't realize is that the majority of the photos I wanted to use for this album were VERTICAL!  Good thing I bought Variety Pack  2 which has both horizontal and vertical page protectors in it.  I was a little frustrated when I first started adding the photos to the page protectors because I didn't realize the orientation of the pictures would be such an issue.  Newbie error!  Ha!  It's okay though.  It looks fabulous so far.

I am now onto the next set of photos for the last week.  I am really enjoying this process and when I got home from the retreat and showed Ben the album, he seemed to enjoy looking through the album too!  Not bad eh?!?!?!  My current page count for 2012 is now up to 157 pages for 2012!  Woot Woot!  Go ME!!!
Now, to figure out when the next retreat is so that I can get some more scrappiness in!!!
Until next time,
Scrap On!

Simple Woman's Day Book - Week 14

Monday April 2, 2012

Outside My Window....it is sunny and gorgeous!
I am thinking...the freezer is broken and I need to cook everything in there or give it away!!!  ACK!
I am thankful...for Jess and her kidlets for coming over to help us eat our food...CHICKEN FEAST!
In the kitchen...I have a chicken feast and a bunch of vegetable dishes from my broken freezer....
I am wearing...blue shorts and a pink tank top.
I am creating...page completion kits from Skyline that I didn't complete while I was there.
I am going...to North Carolina later this week to watch a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game versus the Montreal Canadiens.....GO HABS!!!
I am wondering...how to get in a nap while Ben drives to NC.
I am reading...The Hunger Games Trilogy.
I am hoping...Sophie takes a nice long nap tomorrow.
I am looking forward to...our little family trip at the end of the week. I have already lined up the housesitter/petsitter too.
I am learning...there are a lot of rude, over the top people that really don't know how to treat others....it is disheartening at times.
Around the house...Nathan and Sophie are playing with Sam and Erica in the backyard, Ben is watching Jeorpardy with Jess and I.
I am pondering...what projects to take with me to my next retreat.
A favourite quote for today....
"What screws us up most in life is the picture in our head of how it is supposed to be." (not sure who said this, but whoever it is sure is wise...)
One of my favourite things...my computer
A peek into my day....

Skyline Spring Retreat

The FINAL logo for our t-shirt was sent to me this morning.  I am pretty psyched about it.  The print is NEON green on a Navy Blue long sleeved shirt.  It is gonna be SWEET!  Check it out!
My good friend, Beth, came up with the idea for the shirt and I added a little to it too.  It looks pretty darn good!
1 week and 2 days to go!!!
I still have a butt-load to do, but at least I can breathe a sigh of relief that this part is DONE!
Next up?
  1. Power Layout with all my printed photos
  2. Upload photos to be printed and place the order
  3. Get in the orders from Creative Memories sorted and packed
  4. Pack my scrap crap and clothes
1 week and 2 days to go!!!  Yikes!
Until next time....

Diary of 5: Week 9

Friday March 2, 2012

I am seeing...3 of my very good friends, hanging out, talking "girl talk". Decompressing from a long week and enjoying some much-needed girl time.

I am hearing...giggling and laughter from my friends.

I am smelling...wet pavement..you know the smell just as it starts raining.

I tasted...Chick-Fil-A lemonade. VERY sugar-y but oh-so-good!

I am feeling....happy to have my hubby home from Michigan.  So are the kidlets...

Until next time,

Gratitude Entry #1 for 2012

I have decided to incorporate Gratitude entries on this blog throughout 2012. It will be done sporadically, but I want to add it to the blog.
Today, I am thankful for the schooling that I had in Canada.  The Computer Skills and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer course in particular is what I am thankful for.
You see, yesterday, my friend Dawn told me that she had some sort of virus on her computer. Having worked on her system in the past, I knew that her hard drive just needed a good format and re-install due to errors on the hard disk and other program errors.
So, last night, she dropped off her computer to me and I did a quick backup of one of her files to a DVD and then formatted her system.

What I am grateful for is this:  had I not taken the computer classes at Conestoga College, I wouldn't have known how to do everything that I did last night and this morning to re-install her software and get her back up and running.  She is on strict orders NOT to download anything from the internet without checking with ME first!!!  Ha ha ha!

Sure, I am a stay at home mom and I don't work outside the home, BUT I can run a computer like nobody's business!

So, my public service announcement for today is to BACK UP YOUR HARD DRIVE.  Whether it is to an online site like carbonite or to an external hard drive, please do it TODAY!  Especially those photos!
Scrapbookers everywhere cringe when I tell the story of my laptop having an entire mug of coffee dumped all over it a few years back.  It was a nightmare!

So, get to backing up!!!  I know that if my hard drive crashed today, I would have all of my documents up until today because I am currently backing up my hard drive.

So there you have it folks.....my first gratitude entry for 2012!  Thankful for education and specifically, my computer training.  It really does come in handy!

Until next time,
SCRAP ON!

Single Mummy Week....

It's just me and the kidlets for the week while Ben is up in Michigan for training.  Not a lot planned for the week but to survive it. I think the big thing this week will be to get Sophie through it. She will miss her Daddy and when she misses him, she gets whiny.  So, we will see how the week goes.

Nathan goes back to school tomorrow and it'll just be me and Sophie-girl.

Another plan for the week is: working through a pile of photos to get them ready for the Skyline Retreat. The plan is to put them into a power layout with the paper and any embellishments and title ideas.  That way, once I get up to Skyline, I will be able to get set up and knock out some major layouts!

As for this week, I have some EASY meals planned this week since it is just me and the kids.

Tuesday night, my friend Marta will be coming down for a visit. It will be great to be able to hang with her for a little while.

Maybe Sophie will feel well enough to have the gals over for coffee sometime this week.  Who knows, right?

Other than that, it is just me and the kidlets.

Ben arrives home late Thursday night.  Friday, he is off work. I plan to take him to the Preschool that I have registered Sophie for August 2012.  I think if he is going to be "on board" with this, he needs to see for himself what the school is like and see how comfortable she is there.

Well, I hear NOTHING coming from the front playroom, so I better get down there to check on the kidlets. You know when it is quiet, you have to go looking for them!

If you pray, pray for me.  Don't pray for patience though, I don't want any extra trials where I will need more patience.  Ha!

Until next time,
Scrap On!

I have WONDERFUL friends....

I have been having a hard time lately and this was in my email today. A very good friend sent a reminder, specifically for me, that I DO matter.
Thank you, dear friend.  Thank you!

Diary of 5 - Week 8

Tuesday February 21, 2012

I am seeing...9 children playing in our backyard while 4 adults sit on the couch inside drinking coffee and catching up.  It is Winter Break here and we needed some "girl time" to catch up after a few of us had "sick kidlets".

I am hearing...just my friends supporting each other with their words and not dragging each other down.  I love my friends!!!

I am smelling...Cinnamon rolls and Tim Horton's coffee.  Yum!

I tasted...Pillsbury cinnamon rolls that we all just ate. Gotta love the sugar rush afterwards.

I am feeling....a little apprehensive about next week when Ben flies up to Michigan for training for his job.  Should be interesting to see what Sophie does without her daddy that week.  Can you just picture the reunion though?  How come she doesn't look at me like this???  Sheesh!  When Daddy walks through the door, mama is chop liver!
It is pretty cute though!!!

Until Next week....SCRAP ON!

Simple Woman's Daybook - Week 8

Monday February 20, 2012

Outside My Window....it is a sun-shiny day and the kids are in the backyard playing all together really nicely!
I am thinking...taco soup in the crock pot was a wonderful idea.
I am thankful...for my sweet friends Cori and Jessica who came to scrapbook with me today.
In the kitchen...I have coffee brewing, a crock pot full of taco soup and a couple jugs of juice for the kidlets.
I am wearing...a scrapbooking t-shirt and my favourite Victoria'S Secret PINK jogging pants that will soon have to be replaced.  :(
I am creating...nothing!  I am putting my already-done layouts into albums.  The stack is getting smaller and smaller!  Woot! Woot!
I am going...to have the gals over for coffee tomorrow morning.
I am wondering...when my Project Life stuff will arrive on Wednesday.  I am really chomping at the bit to get it here and get to work on it!
I am reading...all the magazines that are on my bedside table right now.  I have about 15 scrapbooking magazines that I need to look through and a few of the All You magazines with pages dog-eared.
I am hoping...that the kids continue to get along today and this week so that it isn't a struggle.  This week is Winter Break and I am really not up for a hard week.  Especially since Ben will be travelling for work next week and I will be the "single mum" for the week.
I am looking forward to...scrap night with my McDonough girls Thursday night and hopefully a trip to the zoo this week (if the weather co-operates).
I am learning...menu planning is really saving our budget.
Around the house...the kids are playing nicely and there haven't been any huge knock-down-drag-outs.....yet.....
I am pondering...what other things we can do this week while the kidlets are off school without having to deal with crowds.  Lord knows, I am not a fan of crowds!
A favourite quote for today....
"it is better to be content with what little you have. Otherwise, you will always be struggling for more, and that is like chasing the wind."
Ecclesiastes 4:6 NCV

One of my favourite things...a new little lap desk that I bought at Ikea this weekend.  It is perfect for sitting my laptop on while I sit in bed....very cool!
A peek into my day....

Friday Fill-ins....Feb. 17, 2012

Friday February 17th Edition

1. Finally, I helped Nathan finish his project last night and we can say goodbye to the Harlem Renaissance until NEXT Black History month. This project was not fun!  I had to fight Nathan through the entire project because he really didn't want to do it.  It was a pain in the butt!  HE was a pain in the butt!
2. Calorie counting and watching what I eat sure takes some getting used to.
3. Dad says: he seems to be doing well with his radiation treatments (so far).
4. Wiggle-Butt is my favourite nickname for Molson because he wiggles with excitement when I get home - whether I have been gone for an hour or just five minutes. It is so cute!

5. It took a long time but I was able to help Dawn put together backup disks for her laptop so that we can format it and start from scratch.  It is one of those things that needs to be done because her computer is SO SLOW!!!!
6. Being down here and the friends I have made has been amazing. I cherish these relationships, though I wouldn't have it any other way.
Here's a pic of me with my friends, but a few are missing....

7. And as for the weekend, tonight, I am looking forward to seeing Marta and Brent tonight and maybe, if there is time, seeing my scrappy gals afterwards, tomorrow my plans include hopefully vegging out and relaxing with the family while the laundry gets washed and Sunday, I want to work on organizing my photos into a power layout for the Skyline retreat (this is going to take forever!!!).

There you have it!  My first Friday Fill-Ins for 2012.  I probably won't do a lot of these but I think they are great for "slice of life stuff" for my scrapbooks.  That is the best thing about blogging, I can use it for telling the stories in my scrapbooks!!!  Gotta love it!

Until next time, SCRAP ON!!!
