Day 43 of 365

We went door to door looking for Yoda today. Nathan pushed Sophie in the stroller and we knocked on the doors that had cars in the driveway and put postcards in the mailboxes of those that had no answer when we rang the doorbell.

No luck in finding Yoda. :(

Day 40!

Yoda is still missing....I hate it. I am so depressed about it and I can't seem to stop crying. I am not a crying kind of person, but I really am heartbroken over Yoda missing. He isn't just a cat to me....I considered him my baby. I called him my puppy kitty because he would come when I called him.....It is depressing....I am very upset....can you tell?Last night after school, I had the parent teacher conference with Mrs. Thurmon. Found out that she is due to have a baby at the end of April and I am completely bummed. She has been terrific with Nathan and I know he has learned a lot from her. Here is the photo I took of them together.
All in all, Nathan is doing very well. There were a couple of areas that Nathan's old school hadn't gotten to yet in the curriculum when we first moved here, but he has jumped on board and worked hard. He is doing very well and she says he is very bright (but we already knew that!!!).
Go Nathan Go!

Day 37 of 365 Yoda Went Missing Yesterday!

My 12 year old, purebred, Blue-Point Himalayan kitty, Yoda, went missing yesterday. We don't know which door he escaped from.....the garage door or the front door. With the kids here and having visitors, I didn't see either of the cats. I really thought they were hiding with all the commotion. I am so sad and distraught! Devastated would be the best way to describe me right now.....

We bought Yoda from a breeder in Canada the year we got married. He was born May 28th 1999 and we brought him home in the middle of August. He was supposed to be called Baloo after the Jungle Book (afterall, we had Mowgli)....but once we got him home and saw his little personality traits come out, add to that his big ears and forehead, his name became YODA...JEDI MASTER. All I know right now, is that I want my kitty back!!! We have looked everywhere and I made up signs tonight to post around the new neighbourhood, the animal shelter, etc. I just want him to return to us safe and sound. Afterall, he has never been an outdoor kitty and he has no front claws, so how could he ever defend himself!?!? I hope we find him soon!

Day 25 of 365

Today we had Jess and her son S over for coffee.....it was great to have her and S over to hang out. I didn't take any photos while they were here. Insert frowny face here......
Instead I took a pic of my Lady puppy....she is our shelter puppy. She was brought into the shelter that I was volunteering at and was so little. I fell in love with her immediately. I waited the 2 weeks and then brought her home. She is a good girl to have around and she is quite the "attention hoe" but oh-so-loveable.

Isn't she pretty?!?!? Wherever I am, she is. If I am cropping in the scrap-loft, she is right there under my feet. She sleeps at the foot of my bed at night and is always waiting at the door when I get home from anywhere. She and Molson get along really well too. Here is a pic of Molson I took tonight too....Both of these puppies are loveable and love our attention! Such loved puppies by all of our family.
