January and February Challenge

January is a time for renewal, taking an inventory to figure out what you actually have. In order for you to use what you do have, you need to know first what you have and have it organized. I have set up 2 challenges for January and February:

STEP #1: (this may take a while)
Take an inventory and organize it in a way that you will be able to maximize its use.
This will allow you to know what you have, know where it is and actually get to it easily. The whole point of UYS is to be able to use what you have to complete as many layouts / projects as possible without spending your money.

STEP #2Stacy Julian is one of my scrapbooking heroes (she created the Library of Memories and co-owns Big Picture Scrapbooking) and has a fantastic website that I read several times a week. Every Tuesday she posts "SPRINKLES" and this one in particular caught my fancy. I thought it would be PERFECT for the beginning of our Use Your Stash Challenge!

Create a “2009 Favorites” folder on your computer. Open up your digital photo library. Set your timer for 12 minutes and hit start. Scroll quickly through your photos until an image catches your eye. Stop and save this image to your folder. Continue selecting and saving until your timer beeps.If you’re like me, you’ll end up with more than 12 images. **I took out the other stuff that she had listed that you could do and just kept the last 2 on her list (#7 and #8).
